I Need Some Serenity
After yesterday's post, I thought the blog could use something a bit lighter. With that in mind, I present to you, LEGO Serenity:
This was a gift I received recently, combining two things I love, LEGO and Firefly. This is a lovely little model created by Ichiban Toys, who have a number of other amazing custom mini-models.
Of course, what I really want is this:
This set began as an idea on LEGO Cuusoo, a site where LEGO fans can submit ideas and, if they get enough votes, LEGO will consider making them an official set. Well, this model got the required 10,000 votes, and then some. However, LEGO shot the idea down because Firefly was not deemed appropriate for their target audience of 6-11 year olds. Sadly, the set is on hold, probably because the designer has gotten too many requests to fill. I've waited this long, I suppose I can wait a bit longer.
