I'm just wondering why you're posting about tobacco-funded researcher no longer being accepted at PLoS when this is supposed to be the "Daily Web Newspaper of the Autism Epidemic". Are you implying that vaccine makers are just like tobacco manufacturers?
There are a couple differences to be noted, though. First, it was really only the tobacco-paid scientists who were stating that tobacco products were safe. The general scientific community continually stated that tobacco products were unsafe. Couple this with the fact that tobacco products do not need to go through safety testing before being marketed.
Compare this to vaccines. Vaccine makers need to go through a lot of safety testing before they can market a new product. What actually gets FDA approval, then, has generally been shown to be safe. True, there could be bias in those studies funded by the makers. So, what does the general scientific community have to say? That vaccines are generally safe and unrelated to autism.
Please, stop comparing apples and oranges and engaging in conspiracy-mongering.
